The oldest ski resort in France, Montgenevre organised the first international ski competition in 1907. Montgenevre celebrated its 100 year birthday in 1907. The Montgenevre ski domain, completed by the Monts de la Lune domain, is part of one of the most important international ski domains: “The Milky Way”, with over 400km of pistes and a hundred ski lifts. This Franco-Italian ski domain hosted the Turin Winter Olympics in 2006. Montgenevre, located on the Franco-Italian border, is the only French ski resort to have hosted the alpine ski events of the 2006 Olympics and Paralympics. Montgenevre offers many winter sports activities: skidoo, torch lit ski descents, heliski, ice skating, cross country skiing… The resort has a secured free ride area and a snowpark, an ice skating rink, and a stadium for cross country skiing. Get your equipment and come and ride in the best Franco-Italian resort in the Southern Alps. Follow the “Milky Way” et you will slide down amazing slopes surrounded by immense pine forests at Montgenevre.
